“Build Your Future!” Youth Support Project continues despite the global pandemic of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Classes are carried out online since early March. Online instruction will continue through May 2020.
In early March, the World Health Organization which originally declared COVID-19 an epidemic, upgraded its status from epidemic to pandemic. Following this, quarantine regime was announced in the country: meetings in large groups were prohibited to stop the spread of the virus which necessitated to suspend in-person classes as well as project events which usually bring all project beneficiaries together in one place.
The Project was quick to adjust to the changed circumstances and ensure that essential project activities continue. Since the beginning of March, all in-person classes that used to take place in relevant branches of Kainat Education Center, project partner in charge of the academic component of the project, have been taught remotely through various online platforms. Kainat Education Center switched to online instruction and made all necessary arrangements to ensure that the beneficiaries do not fall behind the program and continue to prepare for the state university admission exam.
An online monitoring exam aimed at evaluating participants’ academic performance and progress was held on April 26, 2020.
