On February 23, 2020, another event dedicated to justice, one of the values of the “Build Your Future!” Youth Support Project, took place at Baku Engineering University.
The event began with a speech by Elchin Suleymanov, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. After showing the presentation video of the University, Valentina Javadova, alumna of the project studying at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the University, talked about her student experience. Participants addressed their questions about the university’s admission rules, current specialties, teaching process and opportunities to both Elchin Suleymanov and Valentina Javadova
In the second part of the event, Joshgun Karimov shared his knowledge and experience, held an interactive game and presented the winners with several of his books. Afterward, Khagani Safarov, HR Specialist and founder of HR Option company, delivered a presentation on the topic. The speeches of Shams Mustafayeva (UN Advisor on Partnership and Development Financing in the Resident Coordinator’s Office, UN Azerbaijan) and Khalisa Shahverdi (Sustainable Development and Gender Expert and lawyer) on social justice, equal rights and other related topics aroused interest of the participants and were followed by interactive discussions. Project psychologist Huseyn Khalilov called on the participants to be fair in all matters. The event concluded with an address by Bahruz Hidayatzada, project manager.
“Build Your Future!” Youth Support Project, which has been operating since 2014, is supported by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Baku city Education Department and is implemented within the corporate social responsibility policies of a number of local and foreign companies. In its current 6th year, the geography of the project covers six Baku districts and five regions of Azerbaijan.
